I thought after last week’s video that I should follow it up with a top 10 list for managing your time. So here it is.

1.    Manage your email. Organize your emails into folders. Don’t leave emails unread. Make viewing them as easy as possible.

2.    Multitasking? Not!  Admit it. Multitasking is not anything that is humanly possible. The sooner you admit that fact. The sooner you will become more productive.

Blogging for business

Why has it become so important to blog? Blogging is not new. Blogs were around 10 years ago. Their importance has changed over the last few years. In the beginning a blog was used as an online journal. That was it. Developers were not really concerned with keywords or optimization. That has all changed.

1.    What should you blog?  Blog anything that is news worthy. I encourage you to take a look at your audience and write what they want to hear about. Posting your latest posts on your homepage is a good idea for promoting your blog. Consider it another piece of your marketing efforts.

2.    Never stop blogging. The more you blog the better your chances are that someone will find you. That is what it is all about.

3.    Where should you blog? Take advantage of every opportunity. List your blog in all your collateral materials. Add a link to your blog in your email signature. Your printed materials should have a link to your blog.

4.    Use Keywords. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to market your business through your blog. Keywords can be found by using Google Adwords Tool. Tip: Search your competitors and find out what keywords they use.

5.    Why does anyone want to visit your blog? The answer is content. If you offer content that intrigues, educates and informs then your blog will be one that is visited time and time again.
