When choosing your company's website domain, the more extensions, the better.  Instead of just choosing the .com, try to purchase as many extensions as possible so that another company is not able to use your name.  For instance, buy the .com, .net, .org, .biz, .info, etc. if you can. You can link all of these to your main website so that when a potential customer does a search for you or your industry, you will rise to the top of the search engine.
