Purple Ranch PR Victorian Collection Package Design

March 2, 2009 - Dallas, Texas - Marketing Specific Inc. unveils new packaging design for Purple Ranch Lavender Farm, located in Royse City, Texas. Purple Ranch has acquired the services of KAM and Company to showcase this product at The Dallas Market Center in spring 2009. Purple Ranch has been producing quality lavender products for about 2 years now. Sales to date have been generated through local festivals and online shopping carts.

Cliff Hand, President of Marketing Specific Inc. said "Purple Ranch already produces a premium line of products. The challenge was to make a great product better, but we are proud of the outcome. Marketing Specific Inc. has been an instrumental part of the process from product development, package design and distribution. This new line will far exceed what you have come to expect from Purple Ranch."

Hand said, "The first step of the process was to create a better mouse trap. That we have done by changing formulas and adding even more 100% lavender essential oil to the product line. There is nothing comparable to this product on the market today. Not to mention the healing properties that lavender brings to the table. Our goal is produce a product that transcends into a lifestyle. We wanted the Purple Ranch Products to take the consumer to a new level of relaxation. The PR Victorian Collection envelops a room with the sweet smells of France. We want to take you there."

The Purple Ranch packaging design criteria was two fold. Previous products were 4 color process. This process requires 5 plates for printing. Our challenge was to reduce printing costs yet elevate the product with a more elegant look. The new line took on a new name "PR Victorian Collection". This new collection of lavender products needed a simple yet elegant design. The Victorian Era was the nucleus for our research. Tapestries, wallpaper design and icons were the focal point. The Victorian Era was saturated with subtle pastels in lavenders, pinks and patinas. The obvious was to go with a hue on the side of purple and incorporate this into the combination of wallpaper design and iconology from the era.

The design accommodates the reduction of costs by reducing the number of color combinations required to print the packaging. Therefore by reducing colors we reduced the cost of plates and of ink by over 50%. We are proud of this new product line and look forward to seeing it's success in the marketplace.

Marketing is about listening, solving, producing and enjoying the relationships we gain along the way.
